What does it consist of?

We depart everyday starting from March until October for whale watching. It's possible to identify as many as 7 species.
According the time of year, the species vary: dolphins and pilot whales – (during the all year), sperm whales and fin whales – (during springtime, the beginning of summer and autumn) y killer whales (during summer).

Educational information

All the passengers receive a booklet with the most frequently sighted species in the Strait of Gibraltar.
More detailed information about cetacean, birds and Ecosystems of the Strait, can be find in posters and booklet aboard the ship.
You will have a guide aboard the ship too.

Itinerary

We start from the Port of Tarifa. We accompany you from the shop to the ship.
We sail between Tarifa and Morocco. Normally, we sail closer to the african coast than the spanish coast.

Mornings: 12:00 - 14:00

Evenings: 16:00 - 18:00

Meeting point

The meeting point is Street Alcalde Juan Núñez, 3, 11380 Tarifa, Cádiz. You have to arrive 45-60 minutes before departure. It´s very complicated to park your car in Tarifa, we recomend the parking Munucipal, the cost is less than 1€ per hour.

Warranty

There is a 95% probability to spot, as a mínimum one type of whale or dolphin.
If you cannot see anything the first time we try, you can go again absolutely free of charge.
The same day in the morning, we make the confirmation of departures, depending on the weather conditions.

-Sustainability:
The sighting is performed according to the regulations.
For the respect of animals, we maintain the established distances.

Characteristics of the boat

We have 2 boats, one fast and one with underwater vision.
The last one it is less fast. The company decide which boat to use according to the weather conditions.
The Glass Bottom Boat is mostly used on Saturdays and in July and August.

Name: Pirata Savora.
Capacity: 60 passengers.

Warnings

The customer must call the same day as departure in the morning.
Schedules can change at last minute. Due to bad weather, departures can be canceled.

-Recommendations:
We recommend to bring sun protection, cap, coat, comfortable footwear and taking medicine to avoid sea sickness (biodramina).
If you have to park your car, we recommend that you arrive 1 hour before departure. We can inform you about parking areas.
