Things to Do in Chaouen
- You can hike up to the viewpoint to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. To get there, walk through the blue-painted streets, keep to the right until you reach a waterfall where local women often do their laundry. Then, cross the bridge and continue climbing up to the viewpoint near the old Spanish mosque. It is a short hike but offers spectacular views.
- There is a trail that leads to the famous plantations.
- In Chaouen’s souk, you will find a wide variety of products such as lamps, carpets, tea sets, leather goods, and silver items.
- Visit Uta el-Hammam Square and the Kasbah, the central square and the heart of the medina. Here, you can relax at a café and visit the Kasbah, an ancient fortress with gardens and a tower offering views of the city.
