Itinerary

We depart every day, except on Moroccan public holidays.

(The schedule may change in case of ferry delays.)

  • 09:00 - Meeting at the Tarifa Maritime Station.
  • 10:00 - Ferry departure.
  • 11:00 - Departure by private car to Tetuán.

You will travel with a private driver and car to the city of Tetuán. The journey takes less than an hour. The driver will drop you off at the roundabout in front of the Spanish consulate, where your guide will meet you to begin the walking tour of the city.

If you wish, you can hike up to the viewpoint for a panoramic view of the city (good physical condition is required).

Your guide will show you the main historical sites: the Medina, the Khalifa Palace, El Mellah (Jewish Quarter), the Royal Palace, and either the Archaeological Museum or the Museum of Moroccan Arts.

An interesting visit is the leather tanneries. Please note that the smell is strong, but it can be alleviated with fresh mint leaves.

Throughout the day, you will recognize various locations from the famous series “The Time in Between.”

15:00 - Lunch at a restaurant (INCLUDED, drinks not included).

Typical tasting menu:
  • Harira (traditional soup).
  • Couscous with chicken.
  • Lamb or chicken skewers.
  • Tea with pastries.

At the end of the day, you will have approximately 2 hours of free time at the souk for shopping. You will find a wide variety of products such as lamps, carpets, tea sets, leather goods, and silver items.

You can also buy tea, spices, nuts, and dates by weight.

(If the ferry is delayed, free time will be reduced.)

You will be picked up at the same place where you were dropped off in the morning.

  • 17:30 - Departure from Tetuán.
  • 19:00 - Arrival at the port.
  • 20:00 - Ferry departure.

Our recommendations:

*The currency in Morocco is DIRHAMS, but euros are also accepted. Carry €1 coins and small bills (€5, €10, €20) to make purchases more easily. Changing currency is not recommended, as you’ll incur a commission fee.

*If you have a food allergy, please inform the restaurant waiter, and they will offer a simple alternative. If you’d like, bring a backpack with food and drinks (it’s a long day).

*We recommend bringing sun protection, a cap, a coat, comfortable footwear, and medicine (e.g., Dramamine) to prevent seasickness.

*If you need to park your car, we recommend arriving 1.30 hours before departure. We can provide information on parking areas.

*Bring a pen to fill out the form on the boat.

*Put your phone in airplane mode to avoid additional charges (€20).
