What does it consist of?

Enjoy a cultural experience in the north of Morocco, enjoy a different culture and its gastronomy.
Visit the city of Tangier and discover its charms, the souk with its particular smell of spices and the colorful offer of materials.
Visit the north coast, explore the Caves of Hercules and try to ride a camel as an authentic Berber.

The guide informs you about the Arabic culture and the history of Tangier and curiosities. 
The guide speaks Spanish and English and you can do any questions of your interest to him.

Itinerary

We depart every day (except the local holidays in Morocco)   (May suffer modifications in case the ferry is delayed)
        • 10h Meeting at the Maritime station, we help you to fill in the form needed to cross the border
        • Boarding closes
        • 11h Ferry Departure
        • Departure with our bus from Tanger


    First we go by bus to Cape Espartel. If we are in time we stop to see the Panoramic views.
    Then we visit the Caves of Hercules. Entrance 6€ (opcional)

    We also stop at the place where the camels are. It's optional to do camel back riding, the price is only 2€.
    Duration 5 minutes.

    We go back to the city and we visit the old town by foot, the historic Kasbah.
    It is optional to visit the Sultan's Palace inside, the price is 3€. Closed on Thuesdays.
    Snake charmers are usually at the square in front of the Palace (if you pay a tip, you can take a picture with them).

    Lunch at typical restaurant INCLUDED (drinks are not included).
    Menu:
    Harira (soup).
    CousCous (chicken stew).
    Lamb or chicken skewers.
    Tea with pastes.

    In the afternoon we visit the Pashminas Weaver where they explain how it is manufactured and also how cover your face in the desert like an authentic Tuareg.

    Then we visit the Parapharmacy where you have the possibility to buy natural products like Argan oil, Rosehip, Natural viagra etc. (It is part of the culture that the guide take commissions for sales).

    At the end of the afternoon you have approximately 1 hour of free time in the Souk to go shopping, there is a wide offer; lamps, tapestries, tea sets, leather and silver articles.

    You can also buy tea, species, nuts, datiles by weight. There is no problem to bring the products on the ferry. Maximum one kilo each. (If the ferry has departed late, the free time is reduced).

    Meeting point

    The meeting point is the INFORMATION COUNTER at the Maritime Station in Tarifa. You have to arrive 1 hour before departure. You must bring and show your payment receipt.

    Warranty

    In extreme weather conditions (strong winds) the excursion can be canceled, if the maritime traffic stops. In this case you will have your money back.

    If the ferry gets canceled due to technical problems, we offer to travel with the next ferry with a later return to gain lost time whenever it's possible.

    CANCELATIONS; If you cancel not later than 48 hours before boarding we will reemburse 95% of the total amount you payed.

    Characteristics of the boat

    Fast ferries, the boat trip takes only 35 minutes. We work with the two existing shipping companies in the Port of Tarifa. The ferries have cafeteria, bathrooms and tax free shops aboard.

    Activity suitable for

    • Babies with cart: YES. But you must notify us. Only folding chairs.
    • Pregnant: YES. But you must confirm with your doctor. Tell the ferry company as well.
    • Old people: YES.
    • People with reduced mobility: NO. Only with private guide.
    • People in wheelchairs: NO. Only with private guide.

    Warnings

    The customer must show their documentation at the port, for the 1 day trip you can travel with an ID CARD (EU) or passport. Children with IDCard must travel with their parents or authorization stamped in the local police office. Some countries requires VISA, the customer is responsible to research for the conditions for their nationality. (Covid restrictions, you DONT need a covid certificate at this moment)
    All customers must fill in a form that is given in the port and later show it together with their documentation to the Moroccan policeman inside the ship. 
    There may be long a long queue in high season, July and August.
    The customer must call the same day as departure in the morning. Schedules can change at last minute. 
    Due to bad weather, departures can be canceled. The same day in the morning, we make the confirmation of departures, depending on the weather conditions.

    -Recommendations
    The currency is DIRHAMS but they accept euros in Morocco. 
    It is advisable to bring smaller bills and coins. 
    It’s not worth changing the currency, they charge you a commission for the change of currency. 
    You can bring food and drinks with you. In case you have an allergy to any food talk to the restaurant waiter and he will offer you a (simple) alternative. 
    We recommend to bring sun protection, cap, coat, comfortable footwear and taking medicine to avoid sea sickness (biodramina). 
    If you have to park your car, we recommend that you arrive 1 hour before departure. We can inform you about parking areas.
